Play in a Day

That was a very intense experience: meeting your fellow actors / director / playwright at 7 pm; spending a couple of hours getting to know each other; receiving a script at 9 am the following morning; and, performing in front of a paying audience at 7 pm the same evening.

November

It’s going to be a busy month: one 24-hour theater challenge, two TV episodes (supporting roles) and an indie film (lead role). Fun, fun, fun!

Audition Fun

Last night I had the most fun audition in my (albeit short) career. In addition to performing the sides, there was improv, a variety of general conversations, and a Q&A. I loved it!

Silent Movie – Part Two

I spent Saturday in Brooklyn, NY, shooting a silent movie with a talented director (Yoko Chen) and her crew. I’ve never seen so many people crammed into a small coffee shop, and yet the entire day was organized and efficient. I can’t wait to see the final film!

Silent Movie

I went on my first ever audition for a role in a silent movie yesterday. There was much more talking than I expected!

Edna & Ron

I was just cast in the lead role in Edna & Ron (a short film by the talented Jaiden Thompson). So excited!

Agent Showcase

Last night I was lucky enough to attend an Agent Showcase offered by Acting and Voice Studios in NYC. It was a great experience; not only did I received valuable feedback from the five agents on the panel, but I also learned so much from watching the other actors perform

Agent Showcase

Well, I just signed up for an Agent Showcase at the end of the month. To be honest, I am not 100% sure if I am ready for this: I don’t know if I have enough experience, and also, I am not sure if I know what kind of actor

Audition monologues

I always find it so difficult to choose a good monologue for auditions. I’m not sure if I’m over-thinking it, under-thinking it or just not really thinking at all, but it always drives me crazy. (I only mention this because I have an audition tomorrow).
